Thousands of girls aged 8 to 15 are sold, tricked or kidnapped
each year from Nepal and are forced into prostitution slavery for
years in Thailand and India. Peace Rehabilitation Center tries to
rehabilitate these girls once they are "used up" and rescued. They
are given medical care and training in a vocation so they don't
have to depend upon some man to support them. PRC recently has
begun border patrols to help identify potential victims being
transported across borders and tries to rescue them and prosecute
the bad guys as far a local police will cooperate. My daughter has
worked with Shanta and hopes to make this type of work her life
calling along with her husband Mike. These are mere babies and they
are often forced to serve up to 17 men daily. If you have a couple
of extra dollars to send to Shanta, you can be sure that 100% will
be sent to her. Contact Carmen Gronewold of the World Mission
Prayer League in Minneapolis (232 Clifton Avenue, Minneapolis, MN.
55403), 612-871-6843 or carmeng@wmpl.org. When enough funds
are collected the money is sent directly to
PRC. I met Shanta in early October, 2005 in Minneapolis and she is
the real deal, giving her life to help these girls. She has a
website at www.peacerehab.org. Thank you for
any help you can send. John
