A nice beginning to the day...

Dr. Fleming received his BS degree in Dairy Science from Clemson University in l973, his Master’s degree in Endocrinology and Biochemistry from the University of Florida in l977, and his DVM from the University of Florida in l981.  After graduation Dr. Fleming served as a base veterinarian for the USAF at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where he learned to love snow and cold weather. In l984 Dr. Fleming joined general practice in Palos Heights, Illinois. In l989 he started his own practice and is assisted by his college sweetheart, the former Ms. Connie Kress of Hickory Hills. Dr. Fleming is a member of the International Academy of Veterinary Pain Management (IAVPM).  In l995 Dr. Fleming became a Fellow of the American College of Country Vets (FACCV).

Dr. Fleming  is assisted in the practice by techs Liz, Tracy, Dawn , Ashley, and Abel, and up front you will be greeted by Paula, Cathy, or Katie. In October 2011, Dr. Lauren Ranta will be coming on full time. Dr. Lauren Tassone Ranta completed her undergraduate studies and veterinary medical school at the University of Illinois. She is enjoying her career as a vet because she truly cares about helping sick pets. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, listening to music and reading. She and her husband Erik have two dogs, two cats and two box turtles! Their own small zoo.
